For some reason I find fantasy books much more believable than mainstream fiction. I mostly read fantasy and all sub-genres but if overwhelmed with curiosity I'll occasionally read a 'norm' book.

 

I am an author also but I am mostly on this site to connect as a reader.

Defy

Defy - Sara B. Larson 3.5 stars

Quite a bit better than the reviews made me fear it would be. I actually loved this book until the 'love' story took center dtage about halfway through; don't get me wrong, I love a good love story but this one seemed a little forced and just didn't stir anything up in me, if you know what I mean.

This is sort of a [b:Graceling|3236307|Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1)|Kristin Cashore|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1331548394s/3236307.jpg|3270810] meets [b:Eon: Dragoneye Reborn|2986865|Eon Dragoneye Reborn (Eon, #1)|Alison Goodman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1299076175s/2986865.jpg|3017319] with not as original world building as either, but decent world building, more than many other 'lite' fantasies I've read.
