So, I'm going to wait until I finish this series to review it (as right now I'm making my way through it), but there are a couple things I can say about this series already:
wow! the world building in this series is crazy-good. I've read very few (UF?) series set in such imaginative and original world.
Which leads to the biggest issue I have with these books: they are so intricate I'm having a lot of "wait... wtf is going on?" moments...this might be my fault as a reader but when I read through some of the reviews other people expressed the same...judge for yourself.
Otherwise, I'm really loving this series. I learned about this series on the
Fiction Vixen's Blog (a super neat blog) when searching for books like my 2013 favorite book [b:Written in Red|15711341|Written in Red (The Others, #1)|Anne Bishop|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1342193270s/15711341.jpg|21378102]. It's similar in that it is an "urban fantasy" novel (kinda sorta) while at the same time being high fantasy (cross genre I think it's called)
